The cricket match between India and Pakistan is seen by the people of both the countries like a war. Sometimes these people also start teasing each other at the stadium. This scene is entertaining as well as serious.
There have been many
interesting matches between the two neighboring countries.
There were also some
matches where the players of both countries lost their cool and clashed with
each other. Let's look at 5 such occasions.
Ishant Sharma vs Kamran Akmal
In the T20 match played in Bangalore in December 2012, there was an argument between fast bowler Ishant Sharma and Pakistani batsman Kamran Akmal. Actually, Kamran was hardly scoring on Ishant's ball. After which both of them communicated by raising fingers toward each other.
Umpires, Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh came and somehow
defended the growing dispute between the two players. When Ishant took Kamran's
catch in the 19th over, Ishant once again became quite aggressive.
Subsequently, the match referee fined both the players.
Gautam Gambhir vs Shahid
Afridi
Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi lost their cool during the 2007 Kanpur ODI match. Gambhir scored 4 runs in Afridi's over and then was running to take a single off the next ball when there was a collision between the two.
After this, there was a fierce
fight between the two players. The umpire somehow pacified the matter. Later,
match referee Roshan Mahanama fined Afridi 95% of the match and Gambhir 65%.
Venkatesh Prasad vs Amir
Sohail
In the 1996 World Cup, a match was being played between India and Pakistan in Bangalore, where India had given a target of 288 runs. Pakistan was in a position to win the match.
In the
15th over, Amir Sohail scored 4 runs on the offside of Venkatesh Prasad, due to
which Venkatesh Prasad lost his cool. After this, Sohail, pointing with his
bat, played the shot in the same direction. In an attempt to repeat that shot
off Venkatesh Prasad's next ball, Sohail was dodged and the ball hit the
stumps.
After this Venkatesh
Prasad signaled to Sohail to return to the pavilion. Later the Pakistani team
lost that match by 39 runs.
Harbhajan Singh vs Shoaib Akhtar
Shoaib Akhtar and Harbhajan Singh's feud in the 2010 Asia Cup has made a place in the hearts of cricket lovers even today. In the 49th over of the Indian innings, Shoaib Akhtar bowled a bouncer to Harbhajan Singh. And tried to provoke him.
After
this, a fierce debate started between the two on the field. Later Harbhajan
Singh gave India victory by hitting a six off Mohammad Amir. After the victory,
Harbhajan Singh celebrated the victory by shouting at Shoaib Akhtar.
M.S. Dhoni vs Shahid
Afridi
Dhoni played a stormy inning in the one-day match held in Visakhapatnam in 2005. In that match, Dhoni came for batting at number three. It was only a short time since Dhoni made his international debut.
In such a situation, Pakistani bowlers including Shahid
Afridi did not know much about him. When Dhoni hit Afridi for four runs in
cover in that innings, the Pakistani player lost his cool and said something
angrily to Dhoni. After this, Dhoni, while replying to Afridi with the bat, hit
a brilliant six in the cover region itself. Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored 148
runs in that match.
