Kiron Pollard becomes the first batsman to play 500 T20s.

with many franchise teams of T20 cricket around the world, West Indies t-20 format captain Kiron Pollard has completed 500 matches.
He achieved this feat in the first T20 match of the series played against Sri
Lanka.
He has
played 72 T20 International matches for West Indies, 148 matches in IPL and 280
T20 matches for 21 different franchise teams.
Before
the match, Pollard was greeted by his teammates and presented a special jersey.
This jersey had 500 written with Pollard's name on it. In this T20 match against
Sri Lanka, the Indies team won by 25 runs. Oshane Thomas was the man of the
match, taking five wickets.
In the
match played against Sri Lanka at Pallikal Stadium on Wednesday, West Indies
scored 196 runs after losing four wickets in the allotted 20 over. Lendl
Simmons scored the most 67 runs. Brendan scored 33 runs in the match and Andre
Russell scored 35 runs off 14 balls with the help of two fours and four sixes.
Pollard also scored 34 runs with the help of three fours and two sixes in 15
balls.
Sri Lankan team, chasing the target, could score only 171
runs in 19.1 over. Kusal Perera scored the highest 66 off 38 balls but did not
get the support from other batsmen. Oshen Thomas was the most successful bowler
for the West Indies, taking five wickets for 28 runs in three over.
